Hmm, I think this is saying that to be a hero doesn’t mean that when you do something bold you aren’t afraid but rather that you do the great thing in spite of your fear. Whereas I think a coward is someone who is afraid but who lets their fear stop them from doing the thing that needs to be done. Mind, letting your fear stop you could be the wisest thing too, sometimes. Hmm.
This quote is akin to ‘Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it!’ in my opinion!
