I think that knowing and not knowing are more real and grounded than belief. Honest not knowing is more truthful than belief?
Although I think belief can sometimes also be something to hold onto when confusion reigns, as it seems to do quite a lot for me! ‘I don’t know, but I’m gpoing to choose to believe this, and see where it takes me?’
